Rachel Michaels, co-host of Magic in the Morning, has been an Albuquerque radio personality for many years. She started as a traffic commentator, her bright personality and enjoys the excitement of the changing traffic patterns of this busy city, and is a natural to endorse auto dealerships.
Rachel is a busy working mother with two energetic sons (7 and 4) and a wonderful husband. Together they are balancing the boys’ activities: art classes, sports, church and school. A recent addition of endorsing The Maids has helped Rachel out immensely in keeping her household running smoothly – and has increased The Maids’ business.
Down time is rare and greatly treasured – Rachel loves to read, and explores local book stores. She enjoys photography, and likes to catch the latest exhibits at Albuquerque museums and check out changing exhibits at art galleries. It is a pleasure to savor fine handmade chocolate, good coffee and sample the vintage of local wineries.
She enjoys sewing and crafting for the home, and the creative challenge of building costumes with her family. Rachel loves to grow flowering plants, and is focused on expanding her container garden. Playing the piano and singing round out her hobbies (when she has time)
A true luxurious rejuvenation is found in spa treatments. Putting her best foot forward, Rachel makes a pedicure part of her beauty routine and takes care in selecting footwear that is both supportive and stylish. As an early morning host, Rachel knows the value of a goodnight’s sleep.
An avid traveler, Rachel loves Hawaii, Europe and the green beauty of America’s National Forests. She greatly enjoys train travel and has fond memories of a trip aboard Amtrak’s South West Chief from Chicago to Albuquerque. Visiting her family in Arizona is a great way to sneak in a quick trip, and enjoy beautiful scenery along the way.
Together with her brother, sons and husband, Rachel enjoys movies (super heroes, dinosaurs and family movies), swimming, outdoor play, roller coasters, zip-lining and tram rides. Eating out is a greatly enjoyed treat: Rachel loves green chile, New Mexican Cuisine, pizza, Italian food, Chinese food and a good fro-yo to top it off!
